Amadi football team beat Morobo County 2-1 to advance to the semifinals of the SPLM Political ‘President Kiir’s endorsement tournament.
Forward Daniel put Amadi up in the first half, and it was the only goal that separated the two teams.
Morobo Boys fought back strongly in the second half, with Yohans Sissy tying the game just 10 minutes in.
Sissy’s goal in the 55th minute gave Morobo fans optimism, but it was short-lived as Amadi’s substitute Isaac Joseph scored the game-winning goal for the Western Equatoria representative.

“We need to organize right away; the stage we’re going to will be tough, but if we’re organized, it’ll be an easy one for us,” Joseph, the game’s hero, told his teammates after the game.
Amadi will have to wait until Thursday’s game between the Torit squad and the Juba County team to find out who their semifinal opponent will be.
Torit and Juba will square off in the quarterfinals at Midan Jumus on Thursday at 3 p.m.
The semifinals will be contested at Buluk playground starting this Saturday.
