Bentiu Local Football Association has banned Soon Football Club from all football activities for one year.
Gatkouth Nyuel Paah, Secretary of the Bentiu Local Football Association, told to The City Review that the decision was made when the Bentiu Local Football Association Board of Directors meeting No. 5 resolutions.
Paah added that the BLFA board imposed sanctions on club administrators who violated the South Sudan Football Association’s (SSFA) General Regulation on Clubs and Player Misconduct.
“Soon FC officials went beyond social media, abusing the Bentiu LFA body, which is against Article 42, 50-b SSFA regulations.”
“Soon FC is banned for one year from all football activities for racism and using inappropriate words… in the South Sudan Cup.” By article 50-b, SSFA disciplinary measures during their semifinal match against EL Merriekh FC Bentiu,” Mr. Paah said.
Soon FC was defeated 2-0 in the semi-finals by El Merriekh, a new Bentiu moneybags.

As a result, club administrators and players used harsh insults and racism against several players during the game, alleging they were deceived.
“That gave the board the right to ban first-tier SOON FC for one year without any football activities within the state capital, and they will be demoted to second-tier once they complete their suspension,” Mr. Paah said.
The team is expected to be demoted to the second division league after serving their one-year suspension. On the other hand, Salaam FC made it to the final for the first time in dramatic style, according to resolution.
Merriekh FC-Salaam FC will lock horns for the first time in the final showcase. However, several call attempts to reach Bentiu LFA were all in vain during press time.
