Bright Stars U-15 will begin their preparation for the upcoming Ugandan Council for East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) championships in November 2023.
The South Sudanese U-15 will commence training on Saturday at Buluk Playground, according to SSFA information released on Facebook on Friday.
“Under 15 National Team today, October 27, 2023, played pre-training friendly matches against Al-Amal Football Academy and Al Garagir Football Academy ahead of its official training scheduled to kick off tomorrow.”
“The boys are preparing to participate in the 2023 CECAFA Under-15 Championship to be hosted in Uganda in early November,” a statement reads.
The pre-training matches were meant to select the best players to start the training for the national U15.
SSFA Vice President Charles Udwar advised the under-15s to increase their training efforts in order to perform well in the next tournament.
Uganda will host this year’s East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) Under-15 Championship in Kampala.
The event will bring together 12 CECAFA members, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, and Zanzibar.
