Driver fatally backs into pedestrian in parking lot of Pinellas County bakery

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (WFLA) — A pedestrian was killed after a driver backed into her in the parking lot of a bakery on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

At 1 p.m. a 66-year-old Palm Harbor woman was driving in reverse in the parking lot of Sweet Caroline’s Bakery & Cafe, located at 3347 Tampa Road in Palm Harbor.

Meanwhile, a 74-year-old Palm Harbor woman was walking through the parking lot and was struck by the vehicle.
