President Kiir calls for unity among Sudanese politicians

President Slava Kiir has called for unity among the Sudanese political leaders and encouraged them to jointly find an amicable solution to the current crisis in their country.

President Kiir made the call while addressing Sudanese political leaders in Juba on Wednesday.

According to Presidential Advisor on National Security Affairs Tut Gatluak Manime, President Kiir reiterated his commitment to resolving the crisis in Sudan.

The Presidential press unit reported that a member of the Sovereign Council Dr. Hadi Iddris wanted South Sudan to continue playing a bigger role in addressing the conflict in Sudan.

For his part, the Governor of the Darfur Region Mini Arko Minawi said “They have agreed to join hands as political parties in Sudan to find a lasting solution to the crisis back home,” the Office of the President cited him as saying
