The South Sudan National Examinations Council has released the timetable for the Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) and Certificate of Secondary Education exams for 2023.
“On behalf of the South Sudan Examination Council, and on my own behalf, I would like to take this opportunity to inform the candidates, parents, all stakeholders and general public that all the processes of academic year 2023, certificate of secondary education (CSE) Examinations have been put out in place and examination administration dates have been fixed,” stated the Minister of General Educations and Instructions, Awut Deng Aciul, Wednesday.
The South Sudan Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) for 2023 will begin on Monday, November 20, 2023, and end on Friday November 24, 2023.
On the other hand, the Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) exams begin on December 4, 2023, to December 14, 2023.
A total of 69,573 candidates are expected to sit for this year’s CPE exams, with 38,575 males and 30,998 females confirmed registered in 1,665 schools and 551 centres.
Meanwhile, there are 44.991 candidates for the CSE, with 28,289 males (63 per cent) and 16,685 females (37 per cent), including 887 refugees (616 males and 267 females).
In addition, 2,103 students (1481 males and 622 females) have fully registered for the accelerated secondary education program (ASEP) examinations in 500 schools.
