ALLAGASH, Maine (WFLA) — A man who came face-to-face with a bull moose in the woodlands of Maine narrowly avoided a major mishap after the animal charged after him.
The video shows the moose get up close and personal with the videographer, even side-eyeing him as he stands still.

The man told a news outlet in Maine that he was setting up a few game cameras when he caught wind of the sound of moose. He said a cow moose and three bull moose were in the area, competing for the female’s attention when one bull moose headed his way.
Just three feet away from him, the moose intensely stared the man down. He even tries to sneakily watch him behind tiny tree branches.
“Most moose that we have encountered are spooked by a human voice. Unfortunately, in his rut-crazed mind, I was still another bull trying to take his cow,” the man told the news outlet.

In the video, he tells the beast “Nope” as it slowly inches near him.
As the moose carries on his stare down, he charges at the man, knocking him to his feet, and sliding about six feet from the impact.
“Getting run over by a bull moose was not on my list of things to do today,” Allagash Antlers wrote in their Facebook post last week.

He said his screaming stopped the moose from coming after him and eventually running in the opposite direction.
Thankfully, the man escaped the terrifying moment with just a few scrapes and bruises.
